A new device that attaches to your helmet will sense that you've been in a crash and notify your loved ones.

An NYPD spokesman was unaware of which direction the truck or the cyclist was traveling, and said that while the investigation is ongoing, there is no criminality suspected.

Both riders were in critical condition, and the NYPD says there is no criminality suspected.

When inquiring about this incident, we were reminded by an NYPD spokesman that the department's Accident Investigation Squad does not investigate crashes of this nature that don't involve death or very serious injury.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, and the driver remained for questioning after the incident. Police say there is no criminality suspected at this time.
