The police are seeking the public's help in finding a man accused of an attempted sexual assault in the Financial District last Monday.
According to the NYPD, at 11 p.m. on March 31, a 21-year-old woman was walking inside the Fulton Street subway station at Fulton and Nassau Streets: "As she approached a turnstile, an unknown individual came from behind the victim, grabbed her by the neck, covered her mouth and dragged her towards the station elevator. The suspect stated 'I just want to love you baby.'"
Police say that then the victim started to scream and kicked the suspect. She also kicked the emergency button by the elevator. The suspect released her and fled—the NYPD released video of the suspect running outside:
The suspect is described as being in his 20's, 5'8" tall, weighing 180 lbs. He was last seen wearing a gray hooded snorkel-style ski jacket.
