[Update Below] As you can see in the video below, hundreds of chicken parts were spotted littered all over a street in Brooklyn early on Friday. One resident captured the wide trail of raw chicken as cars drove over the scattered parts, creating gruesome crunching sounds.

The incident happened on Bond Street, near Bergen Street, in Boerum Hill. Sara Vilkomerson (who tweeted the video) tells us it was taken by a local who lives on the street. We've reached out to the person who captured the scene and will update if we hear back.

Police and FDNY had no further details about the incident at this time, but a representative from the Department of Sanitation said that they had "addressed the condition" of the street as of 10 a.m. They add that they are investigating the incident further.

We'll update when we have more information.

Update, 2 p.m.: Cullen Camic and his girlfriend took the video of the chicken this morning around 9:30 a.m., and told us some more about the "surreal" sight. "From the smell and looks of it, it seemed like the meat was fresh, at least before it hit the street," Camic told Gothamist.

"I saw a trail of raw chicken legs on the street near our apartment and followed them up to Bond Street and Wyckoff Street, where there was a massive pile of raw chicken meat in the middle of the road," Camic said. "Cars were driving through it without realizing what it was and it spread all over the street—watching it catch to people's tires and hearing it squish as they skid through it was probably the grossest part."

They have no idea where it came from, but speculated "it seemed like something that had fallen off the back of a truck."
