Just in case you needed your fix of Patricia Krentcil, the NJ mom turned national laughingstock over her ultra-tanned appearance, there's a legal update. A grand jury is now hearing her case!
Last month, Krentcil was accused of child endangerment for allegedly taking her fair-skinned 6-year-old child into a Nutley, NJ tanning booth, after a school nurse saw a severe burn on the little girl's arm...and after the little girl said, "I went tanning with Mommy." Krentcil denied the charges, saying that her daughter got burned while playing outside. While she's been spoofed on Saturday Night Live and mocked on late night shows, Krentcil has recently said, "Look in the mirror and look at yourself and stop looking at me. And I’m sorry I'm tan. I can be tan; it just feels good. But I really think that these moms and dads or whoever, need to step off and step away."
As for the grand jury... well, former NY chief judge Sol Wachtler once said that a grand jury "would 'indict a ham sandwich,' if that's what you wanted."
