In a move that is sending ripples into the world of manufactured ultraviolet radiation, it seems that some New Jersey tanning salons are making sure a certain infamous tanning enthusiast doesn't step foot inside their establishments.

Patricia Krentcil, a 44-year-old mother, shot to "fame" last week after she was arrested for alleged child endangerment—because her daughter told a school nurse that a severe sunburn on her arm was from "tanning with Mommy." Krentcil has insisted that the sunburn was from her daughter's outdoor activities and that while her daughter accompanied her to the City Tropic tanning salon, the child never baked alongside her.

According to TMZ, "Planet Sun Tanning Salon—which runs 8 tanning locations around Patricia's Nutley, NJ home—has already posted pictures of Patricia behind its employee counters to help workers recognize her.... Employees have been ordered to ask Patricia to leave immediately if she ever shows up. Several other nearby tanning salons -- including Body Works Salon, Bodies in Heat, and Sunset Tans -- have also instituted similar no-Tanning Mom policies."

When we spoke to City Tropics owner Anthony Ruccatano last week and asked whether he would limit a customer's tanning, he said everyone was different (besides, you can only tan once a day, per NJ law). He also believed that Krentcil, who hadn't visited his salon recently, created her brown complexion with self-tanner. The Essex County Prosecutor's Crime Scene division was at City Tropics last week.

In the meantime, Krentcil is living things up, taking shots at Snooki, wearing very short skirts for photographers to take photos of her underwear, and enjoying Saturday Night Live spoofs of her.
