Jets wide receiver Braylon Edwards appeared at Manhattan criminal court this morning, where lawyer Peter Frankel filed motions challenging the accuracy of the breathalyzer tests Edwards was administered when he was arrested for DWI in September. Frankel said, "They are looking to bolster their case as much as they can, with as much evidence as they can, which is normal and to be expected. We don’t feel that’s evidence that should be allowed, which is why I’m filing additional motions."
Edwards has denied being drunk behind the wheel, and the motions have delayed his hearing until May. According to a criminal complaint, he had a BAC of .16 when he was pulled over. Edwards also said that when the case is over, he'd like to remain with the Jets. "The interest is there on their side. The interest is there on my side, so we have to wait to see what happens." he said, "I definitely still want to be a Jet. Everyone knows that." Wonder how those collective bargaining discussions are going.
