We no longer need to fear a cold, dark future that exists without Twinkies, but the company has begun to suss out who's buying what once the big dog goes under for good.

"Hostess Brands will move promptly to lay off most of its 18,500-member workforce and focus on selling its assets to the highest bidders," the company's CEO said.

Only two years after coming out of bankruptcy it appears that Hostess Brands, which owns Twinkies and Wonder Bread among other indestructible foods, may be about to declare Chapter 11 again.
