Hostess, which owns Wonder Bread, blames the closing on the excessive costs required to modernize the factory. It's trying to sell the building and a neighboring garage. Meanwhile the adjacent factory outlet will stay open for the foreseeable future, moving elsewhere in Queens once the building is sold. Oh, and 175 workers are out of a job.
