The death penalty trial of convicted mob boss Vincent Basciano, aka Vinnie Gorgeous, who was already serving a life sentence, resulted in no death.

Basciano "launched into an emotional speech about information he first wants prosecutors to divulge," namely the prosecution's intelligence regarding the hit list that Basciano keeps insisting was "used for incantations in his practice of Santeria."

According to the prosecutor, Basciano had lived a "cold-blooded and remorseless life," and therefore deserves to die.
