After being on the lam for the better part of August, the escaped Queens peacock has finally been captured and returned to John Browne High School.

It seems the peacock is becoming the Road Runner to biology teacher Phil Dickler's Wile E. Coyote: “I’m just still sitting here on the roof, looking at this stupid bird laughing at me.”

Here's video of the NYPD Emergency Service Unit trying to trap the peacock around 3 p.m. Tuesday in a backyard in Flushing. Things didn't go so well.

The peacock who flew the coop from Central Park Zoo has returned safely to his home, all by himself.
