So we know that on TV its all cool to have an affair with your teacher (see: Dawson's Creek, Pretty Little Liars) but in reality? Not a good idea. Even if you wait until the student is graduated such a relationship can be, well, touchy. Which is something that the now-former York Prep principal Chris Durnford has learned the hard way in the past month.
Durnford was stripped of his title over the holidays after an inappropriate relationship was uncovered between him and an alumna who graduated last year, the Post is reporting. The principal apparently became close to the girl, who "used to go to his office last year a lot—more than she should," while coaching the girls volleyball team. But nothing happend until she was graduated and legal, they swear.
Meanwhile, the circumstances are even more complicated than you'd imagine since Durnford is not only married, he's married to the daughter of the school's co-founder. Unsurprisingly the families involved are having "a very rough time" and are trying not to talk to the press.
And now we're going to have "Hot for Teacher" stuck in our heads all day.
