The G train finally returned to full service after a five-week partial shutdown this week, JUST in time for the MTA to issue yet another partial shutdown in the form of the dreaded FASTRACK. Sorry, little guy. One day, you'll get your chance to shine/operate functionally.
Starting Monday night and lasting through Friday morning, there will be no G service between Bedford-Nostrand Aves and Church Ave from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. Instead, riders will be forced to flaunt their slick subway style on free shuttle buses at Bedford-Nostrand Ave and the F train (LOL SUCKERS) at Jay Street-MetroTech.
The MTA says this service interruption is due to necessary repair and maintenance work; this summer's epic shutdown was aimed at Greenpoint Tunnel damage sustained during Hurricane Sandy.
