Memorial Day is often considered the unofficial start to summer. Despite today's fog we'll get a sneak preview of the upcoming season tomorrow and Wednesday. Before that arrives we have to make it through a dreary Monday. Easterly winds will shroud the city in fog, drizzle, and perhaps a shower, for much of the day. Look for a high in the lower 70s. If the sun comes out that could jump a few degrees.

Tuesday is expected to start off foggy and clear as the day progresses. Sounds like a high pressure system is moving into town. As the sun comes out and the winds shift to come from the southwest the temperature will rebound to the low 80s. Wednesday should be warmer with a high near 90 - warm enough to fry your free range kids.

The forecast gets unreliable beyond about Wednesday afternoon. As it looks now a cold front will probably pass through town late in the day. It is yet unclear whether the front will produce any rain, but it does look like Thursday will remain warm with a high somewhere in the 80s. The Weather Channel thinks the holiday weekend will be much cooler than the Weather Service.
