Investigators are searching for a suspect wanted for robbing a man at the Times Square subway station just after midnight today. The NYPD released this video:
According to the police, at 12:02 a.m. today, a 35-year-old man was in the mezzanine level of the Times Square subway station at West 42nd Street and 7th Avenue when a man "approached him, briefly spoke to him, and then punched him in the face, knocking him to the ground." Then the suspect took the victim's cellphone and ran from the scene toward the uptown 1 train platform.
The NYPD describes the suspect as "a black male, about 30 years old, 6'3", with dark skin and afro-style hair. He was wearing a gray hooded-sweatshirt, and black or dark gray pants."
