A shoplifter with a powerful thirst for the "meanest energy drink on the planet" threatened a Rite Aid employee with a hypodermic needle during a brazen beverage heist last week, according to police. The incident occurred at the Rite Aid on 49 West Fordham Road in the Bronx on the night of Saturday, August 24th. Officials say the suspect scooped 36 cans of Monster Energy into a plastic bag and proceeded to walk out without paying for them.

When an employee confronted the Monster shoplifter, police say "he brandished a hypodermic needle and threatened to poke him with it." Here's video from the NYPD:

The suspect, described as between 35 and 45 years old, 5'8" and 170 lbs, fled on foot down Grand Avenue and remains at large, no doubt holding court somewhere on a magnificent throne built of Monster Energy cans. Satan wins again!
