If Mayor Bloomberg or free can openers haven't made you send in your Census yet, maybe Karl Rove will? The former George W. Bush adviser filmed a PSA urging citizens to send in their Census forms, just like James Madison would have wanted. According to the Washington Post, Republicans are hoping the ad will encourage some normally right-voting Tea Partiers to stop boycotting the Census and risk having fewer Republican seats in Congress. Rove wrote that "current distrust of Washington should not discourage people from being counted."

Mayor Bloomberg and Brooklyn BP Marty Markowitz also took to the streets on Friday to remind New Yorkers how easy filling out the Census is. "I filled out mine. It literally took a minute and a half," said Bloomberg. But Markowitz wasn't so easy on his constituents. "I'm not a happy camper right now. My saying is, 'New York City begins in Brooklyn,' and this doesn't show it - that's for sure." Brooklyn has the least participation out of any borough, with just 34% of households having sent back the form. Get involved, Brooklyn, or Marty may never camp happily again!
