What in the world did he say? That's the main question we have after watching this surveillance video released by the police today in which a slick con man flashed a fake NYPD badge and persuaded a straphanger to hand over his cellphone before "allowing" him to enter the subway. We hope he never tries to sell us a bridge!

According to the NYPD the incident occurred on Sunday, January 13, around 8 p.m. The suspect—described as being a 5'7", 200 pound black man in his 20's—approached his victim on the corner of West 33rd Street and 8th Avenue and "displayed a shield and identified himself as a police officer." He asked the victim to hand over his ID and cellphone, which the victim did. After that the suspect then walked his victim down the steps to the subway and, after talking about something, graciously allowed him to enter the station. Once the victim was through the turnstile the suspect fled the station "to parts unknown."

Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call Crime stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477). And seriously, don't buy any bridges.
