A man lying down in the tracks. And yet that is exactly what one of our readers saw when he arrived at the 2nd Avenue F station around 7:40 a.m. this morning. Luckily the gentleman in question, who our reader said was "incoherent" and "seemed drunk," fell into the northbound express track which is currently not in use.

EMS was called to the scene at 7:51 a.m. after station personnel tried to remove him from the tracks (our reader heard one of them saying "we're going to wait for more help, I don't want you to fall again."). According to the FDNY, when EMS arrived the man was treated for minor injuries on his leg and was taken to Beth Israel Hospital.

Another reason to seriously consider sliding doors at subway stations?
