City Councilman Peter Vallone has already made clear that he doesn't want to rename the Queensboro Bridge after former Mayor Ed Koch (something about wanting the same respect the Brooklyn Bridge gets) but y'know what he'd be fine with naming after the part-time film critic? The Municipal Building.

"The people in that building work hard for the city of New York every day, and so did Ed Koch," Vallone told The Daily Politics. "It's directly across the street from City Hall—and it's not already named after a borough." We still think the city should refrain from renaming things after people who are still alive, but that is just us.
