You could travel to the Dominican Republic for your discount liposuction, or you could just hop on the train to the Upper West Side, where a new line of modern day girdles will pump cellulite-combatting substances into your skin! See what fun you're missing, gentlemen?
A line of hyper-aggressive body shapewear—called Babalette— is making its NYC debut next week, to be welcomed by what its creator claims will be desperate clamoring from women preparing for the annual battle that is bikini season.
"The minute women hear what it is, they say, 'Give it to me now,'" Babalette founder Isabel Guisantes told DNAinfo.
Babalette employs the body-mashing properties of Spanx and weaponizes the fabric with "microscopic, anti-cellulite capsules that release skin-shaping ingredients as they're worn," Guisantes told the news site.
A native of Spain, Guisantes found a factory in her home country that manufactures fabrics infused with a collection of skin-plumping vitamins and minerals. Called Novarel Slim, the company claims that using a cocktail of caffeine, retinol, ceramides, vitamin E, anti-fatty acids and Aloe Vera in its fabrics left 67 percent of women with their "jeans feeling less tight" and 72 percent of women experiencing a "lightness sensation" after 28 days of use.
Babalette will open for business at 228 Columbus Avenue starting Tuesday until at least May 28. The garments have already made a splash! (ugh) in the Hamptons and West Palm Beach, so get yours early—if the cellulite-killing bodysuits are half as effective as their designer claims they are, their fans will happily tear your eyes out for the last Thigh-Trimmer. This isn't the cronut line, bitch.
