A member of the famous Bronx graffiti collective TATS CRU was arrested at an East Village bar early this morning after apparently smashing a beer mug into another man's face.

Davide Perre, 39, was imbibing with his twin brother, Raul, at Ace Bar on East 5th Street when an argument broke out between them and two other men, the Post reports. According to the tabloid, one of the men made a snide comment about Perre's wife, and the alleged mug-to-the-face followed shortly thereafter.

Perre was treated for a hand injury before he was hauled off to the 9th Precinct. This is not his first arrest—he's been cuffed several times in the past on graffiti-related charges.

But TATS CRU ain't slouches. According to their website, the group was "invited by the Smithsonian Institute to represent NY," and are also "considered an authority in the graffiti art world. When a media outlet such as the NY Times need a perspective they go to TATS Cru."

They've produced work for such moneyed clients as Coca-Cola and Sony, in addition to artists like Jennifer Lopez, Missy Elliot and Nikki Minaj.
