A Staten Island man learned a very important lesson this weekend about worshipping false idols from Detroit (no, not him). DNAinfo reports that 23-year-old Alex Taranto crashed his 15-day-old Dodge Charger (the registration hadn't arrived yet!) that he saved up for three years to buy, when another driver swerved in front of him. No word on whether Taranto's insurance plan required Alanis Morissette to appear at the scene.
No charges will be filed against the other driver, as the vehicles never made contact. Taranto suffered minor injuries but his father said, "He was more upset about the car." Take it from Brother Jimi, Alex: sometimes you have to destroy something beautiful to be free.
