Yesterday, the NYPD announced that NYC firefighter Eric Bischoff was arrested for assault on Staten Island. Now it turns out that he allegedly attacked his wife with an iPad in their home.

The Staten Island Advance obtained court records and reports, "Bischoff's wife told police they got into an argument over a 'picture displayed on the internet' at their home about 12:40 a.m. Saturday. Bischoff was drunk, and hit her over the head twice with an iPad, causing her head to swell up, police allege. When she tried to get away from him, he pulled her hair, then threw her to the floor of a backyard patio, police allege. He fled with the iPad when police responded, according to court papers, and was arrested at the 123rd Precinct stationhouse Monday morning."

The Daily News adds, "The two were arguing over a photo his wife had just put online, but police could not describe the image’s content."

Bischoff, 39, was charged with second- and third-degree assault as well as harassment; he released on his own recognizance. He works at Engine 161 and is a trustee of the Uniformed Firefighters Associations. Bischoff said, "It's a personal, private matter. I have two young children and now I need to worry about their welfare. We're in the process of finding a reconciliation and resolution. In these matters, what's reported is not always as it happened... I pleaded innocent in court, and I categorically deny the charges against me."

FDNY spokesman Frank Dwyer said, "The case is under review."
