Boston, the surrounding suburbs and the rest of the country breathed a sigh of relief when Boston Marathon bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev was captured after a massive manhunt. Tsarnaev was found in a backyard—hiding in a boat—in Watertown, hours after the lockdown was lifted. Here's what the neighborhood looked like before he was apprehended and after.

Here's footage of the loud shots at one point during the confrontation between cops and the suspect:

Three people were killed at the marathon, 8-year-old Martin Richard, 29-year-old Krystle Campbell and 23-year-old Lu Lingzi, and a MIT security officer, 26-year-old Sean Collier, was "assassinated" by Tsarnaev and his older brother Tamerlan last night. Nearly 200 people were injured, many grievously, during Monday's bombing at the marathon.
