Earlier this week, photos of a completely-frozen over Niagara Falls spread around the internet making all other arctic photos look pathetic and puny—as majestic as those photos were though, it turned out they were actually from 2011. But the polar vortex that enveloped most of the country did end up turning Niagara into an icy spectacle, freezing a section of the American Falls waterfall. As you can see in the pictures above and videos below, there's a damn good reason why tourists have been flocking there all week.
