A Long Island man allegedly kept a 15-year-old girl and a 21-year-old woman captive in his home for months and forced them into prostitution. Andy Gayot, 35, was arrested yesterday after Suffolk County police officers found the two young women in his Lindenhurst home; they were reportedly held there against their will, and officers say they found weapons like hammers and stun guns on the premises, which they believe were used to beat the women.
Officials say the 15-year-old was a runaway, and had been held in the house for four months. The 21-year-old woman had allegedly been there for about a year. Both women were forced to work as prostitutes and the 15-year-old was drugged, according to police.
Gayot was charged with a slew of felony and misdemeanor charges, including compelling prostitution, promoting prostitution, unlawful imprisonment, rape in the third degree and possession of a weapon. He is scheduled to be arraigned today.
