A Brooklyn man is suing the NYPD for allegedly forcing him to submit to X-Rays and CAT scans to find "contraband" in his stomach, and then making him foot the $9,530 hospital bill even after the charges were dropped. Couldn't the police have just baked it into a pie?

54-year-old Schedrick Campbell's court documents, obtained by the Post, claim that he was walking home to his Crown Heights home in March after buying dog food when he was confronted by three plainclothes NYPD officers. According to Campbell, cops demanded that he "spit it out," whatever "it" was, but didn't find anything. The police then allegedly took Campbell to Interfaith Medical Center where he was handcuffed to a bed for two days and underwent the futile X-rays and CAT scans.

Campbell says that police warned him that by using the bathroom before the procedures, he could be charged with "tampering with evidence." The lawsuit states, "It should be noted that no foreign body was ever found." The Post adds, "The NYPD did not respond to a request for comment."
