• Rangers 3, Islanders 1: Not only did the Rangers win, but they never trailed. They're in the worst swoon of their season, but that doesn't mean the Islanders could beat them. This was just the second win in regulation in their past 10 games. Scott Gomez's power-play goal gave the Rangers the lead for good in the second period. Nigel Dawes scored in the first and Fredrik Sjostrom added an empty-netter; Chris Drury also had three assists. Mark Streit gave the Islanders their only flash of brilliance in the first period.
  • Mavericks 113 , Nets 98: How not to end an eight-game losing streak in Dallas. Get outscored 40-15 in the third quarter. The Nets may have gotten the better of the Mavs in trades (See Harris, Devin), but they can't win in Texas. Jason Kidd lit up his former team for 23 points and 10 assists. Antoine Wright, a forgotten part of that deal, had 20 points. They return home to face Washington on Friday.
