The Rangers seemed to think that Henrik Lundqvist's 30th birthday was an occasion to let him do all the work. Lundqvist faced 31 shots, many of them from very difficult angles, but he couldn't stop them all and the Rangers fell to Tampa 4-3 in OT.

Tampa out-shot the Rangers 13-3 in the first period and 11-8 in the second, but the Rangers led the game 2-1 after two. But the Lightning scored two goals quickly in the third and took a 3-2 lead into the final half of the period.

That's where Brandon Dubinsky completed his climb out of Torts' dog house. Dubinsky committed a stupid penalty Thursday night in the first period and got benched for the remainder of that game. Before Friday's game, Torts admitted that he would have scratched Dube if he had enough healthy forwards. Forced to play him, Tortorella installed him on the 4th line, but by the end of the game, he had to move him up and Dubinsky made it count by tying things up at 3.

Unfortunately, that wasn't enough as the game went to overtime and Ryan Malone beat Lundqvist with a beautiful wrist-shot to give Tampa the win.

The Devils stayed hot with a 5-0 win over Washington. Zach Parise had a hat trick, but left the game with an injury late in the second and only made a cameo in the third. Dainius Zubrus added a goal and an assist to give Johan Hedberg the win.

Brooks Lopez had 28, but the Nets couldn't stop Boston as the Celtics prevailed 107-94.
