Megyn Kelly gets paid ungodly sums by Fox News to keep Americans as angry and ignorant as possible. She is also an attorney, which qualifies her to hold forth in a segment she calls Kelly's Court, in which she rules with a sagacity that may one day lead her all the way to the Supreme Court. Why, just the other day, Kelly's Court came to order to settle a case that has divided no one. Judge Kelly herself describes it best in this tweet: "A man beats a 100 pound woman into a coma over a parking space. He claims she deserves it. Could he be right?"

Gee, Judge Kelly, we've really been losing a lot of sleep over this. Did the woman who is in a coma from which she may never recover have it coming? The man charged with felony assault, Oscar Fuller, says his victim, Lana Rosa, started the fight by punching him. He also says Rosa's boyfriend was running toward him, and he punched her in the face in self defense so he could flee. As you can see in Kelly's Court (or not, if you have better things to do with your brief time on this earth), a criminal defense attorney thinks Fuller may have a good self-defense claim, if he can prove the force he used was proportional.

After deliberating during a commercial break, Judge Kelly rendered her verdict: "A grown adult man does not punch a 4-11, 100-pound woman in the face over a parking spot so hard that her feet get lift out from under her and she winds up in a coma, and then run away to avoid the consequences. He should be held accountable under the criminal law." Wow, it's a good thing for Rosa she isn't a plus-size woman, or things might have turned out very differently for her in Kelly's Court. King Solomon himself could not have adjudicated more wisely!

Of course, loony lefties like Rachel Maddow had to have their fun:
