Good morning! Last night, authorities discovered a garbage bag in East Elmhurst, Queens containing the following items:
1. One fetus in a jar
2. One skull (adult)
3. A couple dollar bills
4. Trash
The bag of goodies was found at 99th Street and 31st Avenue in East Elmhurst before 7 p.m., the Daily News reports. “It was a small fetus in a jar,” said one man, who declined to give his name. “And there was a full-grown skull next to the jar...This is the craziest thing I’ve ever seen."
A woman called the police after noticing the bag in front of her home, which she reportedly first kicked, then peered into, thus discovering the discarded fetus, NBC New York reports.
Disturbed neighbors speculated as to what could have prompted the act. "How can they sleep at night, doing something like this to, you know, a fetus?" one woman asked. Police are still investigating the incident, but so far, the fetus is still a fetus and not a maxi pad.
