After losing parts of all four limbs to a misdiagnosed infection, Brooklyn resident Tabitha Mullings as been fitted with two prosthetic hands and a bionic arm, which senses muscle movements in her arms and triggers a motorized hand. While picking up a glass with her new hand, she told the Daily News, "It's like a mental game. I'm afraid if I think, 'Open hand,' I'm going to let the glass fall. I don't have feeling in the hand, so that's what gets me nervous." Next step: bionic legs so she can keep up with the Six Million Dollar Man.
