A Boerum Hill mother has taken her seven-year-old daughter out of the country—against a court order—and police are looking for both of them.

According to the NYPD, a father of Kaia Berger, 7, dropped her off at the home of her mother, Ulrike Berger, located at 78 Butler Street. Police say that Berger, 44, had "agreed to return the child to her father at a scheduled future date," but "on March 22, 2015 the mother is believed to have taken the child to Germany, which is in violation of a court order which prohibits her from leaving the country with the child."

Police released photographs of Ulrike Berger, who is reportedly also known as Julie, and Kaia Berger.
