Police say that officers checking out a home alarm in East New York ended with the home's resident being arrested after they found a lot of cash, a gun and 10 pounds of marijuana.
According to the NYPD, cops from the 75th Precinct headed to 874 Blake Avenue, after receiving a 911 call about a triggered home security alarm.
Upon arrival, the officers observed the front door and kitchen window opened. The officers announced their presence and entered the home. Once inside the house, the officers observe a large quantity of marijuana, large sum of cash, loaded firearm, replica parking placards and drug paraphernalia.
The police got a warrant and say they recovered, "approximately 10.4 pounds of Marijuana; approximately $700,000 US currency; .38 Caliber firearm - loaded and defaced; 2 Replica Parking Placards (New York City Sheriff's Office and Uniformed Firefighter's Association); Drug Paraphernalia- scale."
Chanisha William, 31, who lives at 874 Blake, was arrested and charged with criminal possession of marijuana, criminal possession of a weapon, possession of a forged instrument and drug paraphernalia, plus violation of local law.
