In Crown Heights two teen girls were pinned to the pavement and viciously attacked by a woman Friday afternoon. Around 5 p.m. 16-year-old Shantayah Lewis and her 15-year-old friend Shaquina Grant were out on Franklin Avenue enjoying the nice weather, when suddenly a car pulled up beside them. Out hopped a couple identified by witnesses as "Darnell" and "Corona," reports the News. "[They] get out and start fighting with them until Darnell holds these two little girls down and Corona just starts slicing my granddaughter's face up," said Cheryl Evans.

Wounded and bleeding, the girls escaped and made it almost all the way to Evans’s home. "They both tried to run here and Shantayah, the poor baby, passed out on the stoop," Evans said. Both were taken the Kings County Hospital, where they’re expected to survive. "I can't believe this happened," added the disturbed grandma. "[Shantayah] has such a pretty face, and now it's going to be all messed up."

Meanwhile the stabbing couple sped off, and have so far avoided arrest. No clear motive has been confirmed but Evans says, "There was some problem with one of my nieces," Evans said. "This woman Corona was out to get her."
