Two men were slashed in unprovoked attacks on a Queens subway platform Wednesday, and police said they’re looking for the assailant.

NYPD officials said the slashings happened around 3:15 p.m. on the southbound E train platform at the Union Turnpike–Kew Gardens station. A man walked up to a 42-year-old man from behind and slashed him in his forehead, then approached a 50-year-old man and slashed him in his face, according to police.

First responders took both victims to the hospital in stable condition. Officials said the slasher fled in an unknown direction.

Police said the victims were strangers to him and he did not appear to speak with them before the attacks. He was last seen wearing a black jacket, black pants and black shoes.
