With "pink slime" producers shutting down and the "lean, finely textured beef" being banned in fast food restaurants and schools alike, it was about time The Daily Show caught up with the story. And so, hot on the heels of their exploration of the miseries of grocery shopping in Park Slope, John Stewart gave Pink Slime its Comedy Central closeup.

And they make the common point about the issue in a fun way. Because yeah, "Lean, finely textured beef," or "bovine velvet" as he calls it, is about the last thing we want mixed up in our "mulched-up cow corpse," too.

Meanwhile, the idea of actual McMansions built from "meat bricks" is too good to pass up. Make it so, Internet!
