New York City's foam party is over.

The city passed a bill back in 2013 banning Styrofoam, but the ban has been tied up in court until now.

New York waters yielded twice as much as New Jersey's.

That's a heck of a lot of styrofoam.

Is it cosmic retribution for the Styrofoam ban?

In his 12th and final State of the City address today, Bloomberg is expected to discuss the styrofoam menace plaguing our city.

"One of the things you might want to do — and a lot of other places have — is ban things like Styrofoam that don’t … degrade quickly in landfills," the mayor explained.

Finally, a potential ban in the city we can get behind.

Police are once again planning to crack down on peddlers of Nutcracker, a sickly sweet homemade mixture of liquor and sugar sold in styrofoam cups.
