Spread out within the sprawling space of the Metropolitan Pavilion, the fair is a dizzying assemblage of some of the finest amateur artwork you’ll ever encounter, featuring over 300 artists from eight countries.

The annual showcase of what Jean Dubuffet called "Art Brut" has a different look this year.

The Metropolitan Pavilion is once again hosting the often strange, always delightful event... now with bodega cat art.

The fair features 65 exhibitors and hundreds of different artists, and will be at the Metropolitan Pavilion in Chelsea all weekend.

For its 25th year, the fair returns to the Metropolitan Pavilion in Chelsea, and is open to the public through Sunday.

Many of these artists have spent their entire creative career in near-isolation, and a number have done much or all of their work while institutionalized.

It's the largest such exhibition in the event's long history.
