Lydia Cuomo, who was raped in 2011 by an NYPD officer, was disappointed to learn that the legislative session ended last month without broadening the definition of "rape."

State Senator Young's new bill says that rape should be counted as any vaginal contact, whereas before rape was defined as vaginal penetration.

Lydia Cuomo said, "His face and his picture will forever haunt me. It's never going to be something that I'm OK seeing. And I have this opportunity to take this negative thing and make it positive, so it's definitely just something I want to continue to do."

NY State's definition of rape does not include anal or oral penetration.
