A motion filed by his accuser's attorney, Kenneth Thompson, to appoint a special prosecutor was denied.

"Nafi, we're going to dismiss the case. You have lied to us repeatedly. We can't win," prosecutors allegedly told Strauss-Kahn's accuser.

In a statement near the Manhattan Supreme Court, Thompson told reporters that "District Attorney Cyrus Vance has denied the right of a woman to get justice in a rape case."

A source tells the paper that Vance's decision isn't based on Diallo's lies or her account of what happened in Strauss-Kahn's Sofitel suite, but the nature of how she withheld facts from prosecutors.

The letter, written by an assistant DA, claims the meeting is to explain to Diallo "what I anticipate will occur in court on the following day."

Attorneys for Dominique-Strauss Kahn's accuser have released the medical report completed at the hospital hours after Nafissatou Diallo alleged that Strauss-Kahn sexually assaulted her in his Sofitel suite on May 14.

"There isn't a worse forum in the United States for Dominique Strauss-Kahn than the Bronx," an ex-prosecutor says.

An ex-lover of Strauss-Kahn's tells Swiss magazine L'illustré that Diallo's attorneys contacted her and asked her if Strauss-Kahn was ever violent, or if he forced her to have an abortion.

Dominique Strauss-Kahn won't have to show up in court until August 23, as the hearing scheduled for August 3 has been postponed by the DA's office as they continue to review evidence.
