There is some justice in this world: After months of wrangling with the city over his Astor Place newsstand, Jerry Delakas has finally secured a victory. A victory that will set him back $9,000, but a victory nonetheless.

The city has granted 64-year-old Jerry Delakas a two-week adjournment, and a rep for the mayor says that the administration is “working to reach a better outcome."

The city now has some white shoe lawyers working to evict a 63-year-old man from the newsstand he's been working for a quarter century.
