The gunman was allegedly trying to board a bus without paying the fare. When he was refused, police say he shot at some nearby MTA workers.

An NYPD officer fired a shot while responding to a disturbance reported on FDR Drive and 23rd Street early this morning, police said.

Attendees fled the arena, apparently worried there was a shooter.
