The Discovery Program was reformed in 2018 to improve diversity in the city's elite specialized high schools.

The city is launching programs for a total of 250 preschoolers with autism and developmental delays at more than two dozen schools.

City data shows that out of roughly 1,200 schools, 16 PTAs brought in more than $1 million.

State officials have discovered additional contamination is seeping into the school, potentially from sources inside the building.

No students or staff were in the building, which is closed for summer construction.

A group of P.S./I.S. 187 parents say the new facility will lead to years of construction dust and noise and reduce outdoor play space.
