Kennedy insists the maternity ward nurses are trying to get rich.

Other Westchester hospitals say it's normal for babies to be restricted to the maternity ward until they are discharged.

The hospital said, "Patient safety is our priority and we completely support the actions of our nursing staff in this case."

The husband of one of the nurses said, "I don’t think that anybody, even a Kennedy, should go around kicking hospital personnel and believe there are no ramifications."

One nurse said that Kennedy kicked her in the pelvis.
