In 1977 artist Tom Otterness shot a dog. This week, another artist depicted this in a near perfect Otterness-style statue, now housed in the 14th Street subway station.

"[The police] were telling people standing around to get back, but a lady was standing behind the passed-out guy got a little too close, so the dog nips at her."
