Urban cowboy Tod 'Doc' Mishler has retained a lawyer famous for requesting a trial by combat in order to get his horses back.
He's been charged with torturing and injuring his horses.
"They have multiple injuries, open sores, underweight, dehydrated. One had lameness due to an obstruction in his hoof."
A vet will be examining them later this afternoon.
