A rare “derecho” storm is due to hit the East Coast today, and NYC will be very soggy as a result.

A prosecutor with the state attorney general's office was killed last night as he was walking by a Cobble Hill Church as it was struck by lightning.

Some pretty intense "Ghostbuster" clouds hovered over NYC during the storm!

The National Weather service just issued a "SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING" for all of NYC and Nassau County until 8:30 p.m., adding, "WINDS UP TO 70 MPH AND QUARTER SIZE HAIL POSSIBLE."

The storms have already started in New York... and later today we could be seeing a derecho.
