Some landlords in Lower Manhattan are reportedly not loving the idea of Verizon upgrading their buildings from copper to fiber after Hurricane Sandy.

Sources now believe that yesterday's LES subway fire could have been sparked when a cable fell across the third rail and a track rail as someone tried to steal an underground copper wire.
