Police are investigating a possible hate crime in Astoria after a halal cart operator was pelted with eggs and Islamophobic messages earlier this week.

This happened last week in the Bronx.

The woman reportedly called the victim a "f-----g Muslim."

The writing was found on Avenue Z.

The MTA has amended its standards to prohibit ads that "would incite or provoke violence or other immediate breach of the peace."

An activist spray-painting over an anti-Muslim ad in the Times Square subway station met some resistance from a counterprotester defending the ads.
